lyrics

I don’t know where this is going but I don’t want it to end
I think we should stick around
All it takes is every fatalist to settle down
Even though they’re depressed
Maybe that’s where my empathy ends
A theist without a heart to be wrong
They just need to be right
I feel so disconnected from the qualities of people
My sense of self is out of style
I dread to leave my house and the comfort of this down
I just wanna stick around

I just need a better life

I don’t know where this is going but I don’t want it to end
I think we should be friends
All it’d take is just some interpersonal connection
To make you want to live
People seem to celebrate the darkness in their culture
Where do the lighter people hide?
I feel like I belong inside a priory or a commune
But I know that that’s a lie

I just need a better life

And I feel I may have lost myself
My mind is just a hollow shell for the dark that’s underneath

I don’t know where this is going but I don’t want it to end
Maybe we can reconcile
All it takes is every centrist to say they’re wrong
And they can go out in style
They could leave a better life
For the ones they leave behind.

The four-piece core band is one color on the canvas rather than the canvas itself. The group produces songs that are humanist, socially conscious and at times political. ... more
